We are delighted to have won the inaugural Luxury Innovation Award in the Watches, Jewelry, Fashion, Design and Accessories category. This prestigious award was presented by the Luxury Venture Group.
The Luxury Innovation Award™ is the world’s first global competition for the emerging luxury startups developing innovative solutions for the luxury industry. In the first 2020 edition, 9 finalists were chosen from of 149 applicants from 34 countries. The global premiere award show took place August 27, 2020 in the Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues in Geneva, and was broadcast on TV on the Eurovision Services network.
To win, we passed three stages of pitches: Once where the number of start-ups was narrowed to 4 and then another where 3 moved on due to a tie between our co-finalists. During the final pitch in Geneva, THE RAYY’s unique technology and combination with minimal design and luxury branding, was able to convince the entire jury composed of all the judges in each category.
The prize for the award is CHF 10’000, as well as a trophy made by Altmann Casting AG and designed by famous Swiss artist Roger Pfund who has designed the Swiss national passport as well as the Geneva Grand Prix d’Horlogerie Award trophy and banknotes for numerous countries. Additionally, Jean-Claude Biver generously donated an additional CHF 5’000 to the winners.
THE RAYY was the youngest brand among the finalists, only launched in September 2019, and we are most grateful for the visibility and contacts that this prize brings. We hope that this is a stepping stone for an even more amazing future.
Thank you to Deependra Pandey and the jury members in our category who included: René Weber, Ambassador Chitra Narayanan, Julien Tornare, Alexander Linz, Emmanuel Gueit, Aurel Bacs, Michel Loris-Melikoff, Chantal de Senger, and Stéphane J.G. Girod.
