What we love about Martin Ehmele
Martin Ehmele is a visual artist, digital creator, and model based in Vienna. The German-born creative's practice lies in two passions: the written word and fashion. Martin began his career working with various magazines and online media outlets before eventually establishing himself as a content creator in his own right. The artist seamlessly intertwines both minimal and eclectic styles into one finely tuned aesthetic on his Instagram page, @martinehmele. The inspiration for his content comes from everyday surroundings, where he is often drawn to the lines of natural objects such as plants and florals.
At THE RAYY, we agree that inspiration often strikes when observing nature. After all, it was the light from the sun caressing ripples on water that inspired the light-shaping “mirror” we set in our jewelry.

Martin Ehmele’s out-of-the-box photography, modeling, and styling have captured the attention of followers around the globe with his willingness to push boundaries in his self-expression. The way he continually experiments with different ways of showcasing statement pieces reveals his personality and surprises his viewers. The artist says he looks for inspiration in “people who are unafraid to voice their truth and express their true self.” Our collaboration with Martin reminds us that THE RAYY’s fine jewelry is intended to be played with, and there are no boundaries on how to style our creations.
Martin captured his 18k white gold FACETS pendant with a traditional camera, bringing authenticity and an original artistic approach to photography that he has paired with his signature eccentric styling.

To Martin Ehmele, we can be “fire today and water tomorrow”, but the hidden message he chose for his FACETS pendant is the portrait 'HOT as the sun' by Blanca Miró Skoudy. There is a balance of opposites in life and in ourselves, and sometimes that facet is hidden. Martin's pendant acts a token for him, bringing back memories of "endless summer days and the feeling of freedom as if there's no tomorrow." The jewel reminds him to always stay fearless, unapologetic and a little eccentric.
